WEEK 6: JOURNALIST ROLE #soyer1718
Hi and welcome back! This is Yassín speaking, and this week I'm the journalist of our group.
So this week's role were:
- Facilitator: María José Valera López.
- Star: Maravillas Álvarez Sánchez.
- Translator: Roberto Jara Mira.
- Curator-Farmer: Diego Asís Berenguer.
- Analyst: Lola Rubio Alberca
- Journalist: Yassín Hammalil Nájera
So, how did this week go? Well, our task this week was a very fun, making either a fable, infography or twitter thread that consists on "the dark side of textbooks". We immediantly chose to make a fable because we thought that we could make something cool and creative with all this freedom, we also chose to a kind of comic to support the fable itself. María José, our facilitator, divided the work in the following way: Diego, Roberto and Yassín took care of writing the script of the fable, Maravillas had to get ready for her presentation and Lola and María José took care of the crafting.
The fable we created, in a nutshell, featured a "turtle teacher", who was sick of only using textbooks, witnessing a more creative teaching method from a teaching hare who didn't need textbooks. Our protagonist, inspired and with more hope, implemented new methods leaving textbooks to gather dust.
Our teammates Lola and Maria José did a superb job with the cardboard comic:
In the end of the "museum gallery". Our teacher explained how this task would help us understand technologies and how the dependency to books for teaching is a huge waste of potential resources such as multimedia content, interactive apps or even blogs like this one!
Keep your eyes peeled for a Gelianni presentation featuring our classmates presentations including links to their blogs, and our script for our fable!
*Here our teammate Diego is missing, but we like this picture anyway.
That's all from me for now, see you next week!
