WEEK 4. FACILITATOR ROLE #soyer1718

Hey there! How are you guys doing? I'm Lola Rubio and this week I've been Universal Teacher's facilitator. My main  objective  has been to organize the group work, by dividing tasks and coordinating the members of the group with each other. I started analyzing what the task consisted of, after that, the work we were meant to develop was  split   into  little tasks so each one of us could focus  on  different aspects to  maximize  our efficiency and later on contrast our performance and make it a united work. My  responsibility  in the group was big, so I made sure all the steps we had to make were being followed, I supervised everyone's work, reviewed the tasks, and gave my personal opinion introducing some changes in the presentations in order to improve the final result. I believe our team had me as a person that is willing to help whenever possible and give the best out of me to make a good performance. I really enjoyed t...

Welcome to a new week in our blog. This week, as the rest of them in the future, we have changed the roles of the group’s member. Now the roles are: v   Roberto as the curator farmer v   Lola as the facilitator v   Mavi as the analyst v   Yassín as the star v   Maria Jose as the translator v   Diego as the journalist So, as you will have supposed, this week I (Diego) am going to be in charge of the blog, so I hope all of you enjoy reading it. So, let’s go with the story! This fourth week seems to be ‘’funny’’ as we don’t have a diversity teacher yet, at least we have some free hours to work in other subjects. This Monday we have started with educational psychology and in my opinion, it has been an average class as there is nothing relevant to tell about it. After that class, we have had the BEST CLASS EVER, THE CENTER OF THE UNIVERSE, THE PIAGET OF THE CLASSES IN THE UNIVERSITY: SCHOOLAR ORGANIZATION   (actually this is an excessiv...

WEEK 4. TRANSLATOR ROLE #soyer1718

Imagen
Hi everyone! I'm María José, playing the translator role this week. According to the activities we have done this week, we must highlight the five basic concepts that I consider most important in this activity: - Creative Common License : This is a license which allows, taking into account the traditional vision of reserving author rights, both individuals, and large companies, in a basic and identical way everywhere, it allows to promote a series of frames legal for such creative works. Thus, other people may be able to see these works and may be shared, so it is a way to allow the flow of knowledge from different points of the planet, always within a legal framework. It is a way to transmit knowledge and culture, as long as copyright is kept. - Creative Common License, Elements : Within the Creative Common, we find different types of licenses, which vary depending on the conditions that make them, so we highlight 4 different types of conditions: We have the conditi...

WEEK 3: FACILITATOR POINT OF VIEW #soyer1718

Hi, I am Diego and this week, I have been the facilitator for the group ''Universal teachers'' and I am going to tell you how it has been the week for me and what I think about what we have done. As I am writing and working on my computer, I am remembering the great activities that we have in our subject this week. First of all, on Monday, we were working on groups to know what TPACK is and how to express it in an information map. While we were working on this, I realized that I like it a lot the role of facilitator because personally I like to have everything organized and I like to see all my partners and me working together and helpfully in order to progress not only with TPACK, but also as a group. However, we also had to decide a pet for the group and its name, in my opinion, this ‘’extra-activity’’ was very difficult because we didn’t get in agreement for one option until Wednesday. The second day of this week was the Wednesday. On Wednesday, all the groups...

WEEK 3. TPACK RETROSPECTIVE: NEW AND USEFUL CONCEPTS. #soyer1718

Looking back at the TPACK project the whole class had to do, we can get many important concepts that we will be able to use in the future as fully-flegded teachers.  TPACK: First, let's take a look the name itself, TPACK, which stands for Technological, Pedagogical And Content Knowledge. This TPACK is is a relatively new phenomenon in the field of effective teaching, it mainly focuses on how teachers, when implementing technological tools to their teachings, can reach a higher level of effectiveness. TPACK considers aspects such as understanding how technologies make contents easier or more difficult, knowing pedagogical techniques that implement technologies to foster teaching, or how technologies can be used to either create new epistemologies or reinforced the previous ones. This framework is the result of the interconnections of the three aforementioned cores of education. So now we are going to check those elements individually.  Conten...

WEEK 3. Preparing our TPACK presentation. BEFORE AND AFTER THE PRESENTATION #soyer1718

Hi everyone, we are already in week 3, and as we posted in the last entry, we are going to do our best. The person who is writing is the  Journalist  whose role is developed this week by Roberto Jara. During this weekend, all of us read the article we had to work about, in order to understand what TPACK was.  On Monday, during the class, we decided to share the tasks and we started to work. First of all, some of us started to look for information on the Internet, all the types of maps to decide which one was the most accurate to make the exposition next Wednesday.  As there were lot of them, we did not know which one to choose and after thinking the pros and cons of all of them, we decided to choose the "Mindscape".  Later, we started to debate about the design of the poster to present in the oral exposition and we had very good ideas. All of us have done our best because we are very creative. At the beginning, we ...
